The love for florals began at a very young age following in her grandfathers roots of horticulture and floral design. Digging deep into mother natures earth and planting and harvesting blooms.
At the age of twelve, Katelyn’s older sisters opened up a floral studio in Schomberg called Flowers on Main street. That is where it all began for Katelyn. With the knowledge and education trained in a quaint family floral studio, Katelyn’s design skills and creativity evolved over the years.
Little did Katelyn know and believe she would unfold Astilbe Floral Boutique in Barrie Ontario in 2015 with the birth of her first daughter Bridget. Attending local farmers markets, community events and engaging in the art of design & community Katelyn’s love for community and the arts unfolded Astilbe.
Today Astilbe is set on the Collie Homestead in the quaint hamlet of Egbert ON.
Katelyn continues to share her love and passion for the outdoors & floral design with her four children. Astilbe is truly a family business shaped around love, determination & passion sharing these values forevermore.
